The father of the accused involved in the sad incident of rape in the city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh has demanded the execution of his son from the court.
According to Indian media reports, Raju Soni, the father of rickshaw driver Bharat Soni, involved in the ‘Ujjain Rape Case’, which shook the whole of India, expressed his shame and demanded the death penalty for his son.
Last week in Ujjain, a 12-year-old girl was left injured following being sexually assaulted by an auto driver.
Bharat Soni’s father, who raped the girl, said in a conversation with the media, “That girl might have been my daughter, we can’t get out of shame, I don’t understand anything that this situation What should I do? If I were in my son’s place, I would have accepted the crime and also accepted the punishment.
Raju Soni on Thursday demanded the death penalty for his son Bharat Soni, arrested in the Ujjain rape case. “This is a shameful act, I have gone to the hospital to meet my son and will not go to the police station or the court. My son has committed a crime, so he should be hanged,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ujjain Bar Council President Ashok Yadav appealed to the lawyers that the reputation of the temple city has been damaged by this incident, so they should not fight the case of the accused.
