SEOUL, Oct. 12 (Yonhap) — The film “The Good Stars” (Broker) has been selected as the closing film at the 42nd Hawaii International Film Festival next month.
This is the feature film by Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda for which the main role is played by South Korean actor Song Kang-ho.
According to the festival website, 11 other South Korean films are invited, including ‘Hunt’, ‘Next Sohee’, ‘Project Wolf Hunting’, ‘Remember’, ‘Limit’, ‘Next Door’ and ‘Return to Seoul’. .
Les films documentaries «Syngman Rhee’s thirty years in Hawaii» et «The story of dreams: picture brides» seront également projetés.
Seven South Korean movies will be featured in the Spotlight on Korea section.
The festival, which takes place every year in Hawaii, was inaugurated in 1981 to stimulate cultural exchange between Asia, the Pacific and North America. The 42nd edition will take place from November 3 to 13.
