After its narrow victory once morest Denmark on Wednesday, the French women’s football team challenges Uruguay this Saturday (9:10 p.m.) in Angers.

This Saturday, the French have an appointment at the Raymond Kopa stadium in Angers. Facing Uruguay, Les Bleues hope to continue their good road within the framework of the French tournament. The tournament brings together Denmark, Norway, Uruguay and therefore France. On Saturday, once morest Uruguay, Corinne Deacon’s players will play the least expected team of the tournament. After encountering offensive difficulties on Wednesday, Uruguay, ranked 67e in the FIFA ranking, should allow the handbrake to be released. During the match once morest Norway, the Uruguayans only lost 1-0. But the Norwegians largely dominated the meeting.

A victory without convincing

In front of the 7,400 spectators at the Francis le Basser stadium in Laval, Corinne Deacon did not offer a very offensive team. The coach starts the game with five defenders. With the absences of Tounkara and Mbock, this first meeting will not have made it possible to know Corinne Deacon’s plan to accompany Wendie Renard. Without a great Kheira Hamraoui, the offensive animation stuttered. La Parisienne remains the subject of particular attention. Following his assault and the followingmath, questions persist regarding the appreciation of his presence. But it was her lack of rhythm that Corinne Deacon pointed out.

This tournament is being held with the Women’s World Cup in mind. On July 20, the teams will meet in Australia and New Zealand for the start of the competition. France, Denmark and Norway are qualified, unlike Uruguay.

After a first match in Laval, the last two matches of the French women’s team will be played in Angers. The Blues will face Norway on Tuesday following challenging Uruguay.
