SACRAMENTO, California, USA (AP) — Kawhi Leonard finished with 34 points and seven assists, James Harden scored 26 points and the Los Angeles Clippers overcame a great game from De’Aaron Fox to win 131-117 on Wednesday the Sacramento Kings.
Paul George had 19 points and seven assists for the Clippers, who defeated the Kings for the first time since October 2022.
Fox totaled 40 points on 14 of 23 shots for Sacramento, which had just achieved an important victory over Golden State to advance to the knockout round of the In-Season tournament.
The Clippers, who had lost on Monday to the Nuggets without Nikola Jokic, carried the weight of the attack for much of the clash with the Kings.
Leonard made 14 of 18 field goals, including two of three on triples, while Harden finished 8 of 14 from the field, with 5 of 8 on triples.
Russell Westbrook finished with nine points and eight assists off the bench, once more, for Los Angeles. He also became the third active player in the NBA to reach 38,000 minutes played. Earlier in the week, the Lakers’ LeBron James surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record in that category.
