After having won his eighth Ballon d’Or this Monday at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, France, Lionel Messi gave a few words of gratitude to his teammates with whom he won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“This award comes for what has been achieved with the Argentine team. This is a gift for the entire Argentine group,” Messi said on stage, following receiving the trophy from former English soccer player David Beckham, owner and manager of Inter Miami.

After his messages of gratitude for having received his eighth award, the highest winner, Messi spoke to the press in general and to some present, among them a collaborator of the famous Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos, who asked him for a few words in the middle of a broadcast with more of 700,000 people connected on the Twitch platform.

Before his conversation with the Argentine number 10, Ibai had already spoken with some figures present such as Eden Hazard, Rubén Dias, Novak Djokovic and Emiliano “Dibú” Martínez, among others, but he did not want to miss the opportunity to speak with Messi, whom You already had the opportunity to interview.

“Congratulations, Leo. Congratulations. You are very tired, enjoy it a lot,” the Spaniard expressed to the Inter Miami footballer.

When “La Pulga” heard the words Ibai, he responded with a blunt scolding of the Spaniard: “Thank you, but I am still very angry with you for what you did the other day.”

With a smile that expressed the joke he threw at the content creator, Messi continued: “You sent messages and read them in public. “I’m not going to answer you anymore now.”

Ibai, embarrassed, answered with his characteristic humor and sarcasm: “But I deleted it, I pixelated it,” he said repeatedly while Messi told him “I won’t answer you once more, next time I’ll give you the thumbs up.”

Suddenly, Ibai asked him: “Leo, what does it mean to have won the eighth Ballon d’Or?”, to which the ex-Barcelona player laughed and replied: “Now change the subject, son of a bit…”.

The Argentine was referring to a message that Ibai sent him in the middle of a challenge that the streamer proposed for himself. The idea was to send a private message on Instagram to several renowned footballers such as Luka Modric, Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappé and Messi.
