Léo Dubois Joins Istanbul Basaksehir: Transfer Details, Career Highlights, and Turkish Championship Contribution

The Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir formalized this Friday the arrival of French right back Léo Dubois. Under contract with Galatasaray until 2025, he is loaned for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season.

The player trained at FC Nantes was transferred during the summer of 2022 to Galatasaray for 2.5 million euros, from Olympique Lyonnais, a club where he spent four years between 2018 and 2022.

His arrival at Galatasaray did not go as planned since the French international had suffered a calf muscle disruption during the preseason. When he returned to competition, the full-back faced competition from Franco-Cameroonian Sacha Boey.

Dubois finally managed to regain starting status and played 21 Süper Lig matches, contributing to Galatasaray’s Turkish championship title last season.
