20-year-old Leo Borg celebrated his first win at ATP Tour level at the ATP 250 tournament in Bastad.

The name Borg has been in the headlines regularly for the past two weeks. Finally, following an epic final once morest Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic narrowly missed his 5th Wimbledon title in a row. For the time being, Roger Federer and Björn Borg remain the only ones who have accomplished this feat.
Now the name Borg is in the headlines once more. Leo Borg, the son of legend Björn, secured his first win at ATP level at his home tournament in Bastad on Tuesday. The 20-year-old Swede (ATP 437) defeated his compatriot Elias Ymer (ATP 166) 7: 6, 6: 3 in the 250 tournament. His younger and better classified brother Mikael Ymer (ATP 51) was banned for 18 months on the same day because he missed a doping test.
Leo Borg follows in huge footsteps. Father Björn won a total of 66 titles during his active career, including 11 in Grand Slam tournaments. In total, he spent 109 weeks on the world ranking throne. He ended his career at the age of 26.
