Lille hosted Lens during a Northern derby, between two teams in the race for Europe, who are one point apart in the standings.

The Sang & Or did not lose a minute and the Pole Frankowski (4th) launched the derby, imitated by Kalimuendo-Muinga (37th) at the end of the period who doubled the bet. However, Xeka (45th + 1) in stoppage time kept LOSC in the game.

Jocelyn Gourvennec threw Amadou Onana into battle following the break, but the Mastiffs mightn’t find the fault despite a much better desire than in the first period and more intense pressure in the Lensoise half of the field.

Racing held firm and finally pocketed its second derby of the season, following the one won at Bollaert. For Lille, this is the third game without a win… Europe is moving away.
