A class action lawsuit was filed on July 21 once morest Lenovo, Walmart and Best Buy for allegedly falsely indicating a discount on the price of a laptop computer.

Alexandre Lafrance, who filed the complaint with the Superior Court of Quebec, made the purchase last May of a Lenovo brand computer thinking of getting a bargain.
The list price was $3079, but thanks to a monster discount, the computer came back to him at $1120.

The document filed in court states that: “Defendants engaged in a prohibited and contrary business practice […] to the Consumer Protection Act of Quebec. […] The defendants falsely indicated a price reduction”.
