A few days ago, on the sidelines of Computex in Taiwan, Lenovo announced the renewal of its Legion 7 PC range, still intended for high-end gaming, optionally with an Intel or AMD solution. Welcome to the Legion 7, 7i, Slim 7 and Slim 7i.

Officially announced a fortnight ago, the new Lenovo Legion 7 Gen 7 gaming laptops were presented to the European press a few days ago on the sidelines of Computex in Taiwan. The opportunity for the world leader in the sector to reaffirm its position and its vision of gaming, centered around 2 axes, “Stealth” (stealth) and “Savage” (wild).

Lenovo Legion 7 and 7i, overpowering assumed

The first of the ropes, the Lenovo Legion 7 and 7i, have the fairly simple ambition of offering the best in a laptop, quite simply. There is thus a choice of an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H or a Ryzen 9 6900HX processor for the Legion 7 and Core i7-12800HX or i9-12900HX for the 7i. RAM level count on DDR5 4800, as for storage, we are entitled to Gen 4 NVMe SSDs among the fastest on the market.

Several display options are also available, all centered around a 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600p) display with refresh rates ranging from 165-240Hz.

For the graphics part, here too Lenovo has seen things big, since we find Radeon RX6700M and RX6850M XT for the Legion 7 or RTX 3070 Ti and even an RTX 3080 Ti for the Legion 7.

We also appreciate the huge 99.99Wh battery associated with an ultra fast charge capable of recharging 70% of the machine in less than 30 minutes and 100% in 1h20. Although quite classic, the design is pleasing to the eye and to the touch. The beast measures only 19 mm thick for a quite correct weight of 2.3 kg.

Finally, note also the presence of the “Force Sensor” technology which offers adaptive sensitivity to the famous ZQSD keys to associate several actions according to the force of the strike. To see in the facts how this really translates.

Expected for this summer, the new Legion 7 Gen 7 should be marketed from €2,599 for AMD models (Legion 7) and €2,999 for Intel models (Legion 7i).

Lenovo Legion Slim 7 and Slim 7i, some compromises for less weight

The Legion 7 and 7i therefore did not come alone, with them Lenovo offers us the Slim 7 and Slim 7i. The goal ? Lighten the machine at the cost of some small compromises to make them more affordable and more transportable.

Visually, there is little difference, we still find this very beautiful 16-inch WQXGA screen of 2560 x 1600p at 165 or 240 Hz (with even a mini-led option for the most advanced model), the enormous 99.99 Wh battery , NVMe Gen 4 SSD storage, DDR5 4800 (limited to 24 GB) and the choice between AMD Ryzen 5 6600H, Ryzen 7 6800H or Ryzen 9 6900HX processors for the Slim 7 and Intel Core i5-12500H, i7 -12700H or i9-12900HK for Slim i7.

On the graphics card side, the configurations necessarily go up lower than on the Legion 7 since it will be necessary to be satisfied with a Radeon RX6600S or RX6800S for the Slim 7 and RTX 3050 Ti, 3060 and 3070 for the Slim i7.

Note that the chassis this time only measures 16.9mm thick and that the weight of the machine does not exceed 2.05 kg.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 and Slim i7 models will also be launched in July starting at €1899 for AMD models (Slim 7) and €1999 for Intel models (Slim i7).
