Le Lenovo Legion Go.

Lenovo has once once more presented very interesting novelties for the IFA 2023 in Berlin. In addition to the Legion Go “game console”, it has above all done very well with a new 3D screen that does not require the wearing of special glasses and Full HD connected glasses to be used as a large screen.

Let’s start with the spectacular 27-inch 4K ThinkVision display capable of displaying 3D in Full HD and without glasses. Thanks to the tracking of both eyes, this screen is able to produce magnificent 3D animations, as I might see shortly before the opening of the IFA. However, it will be necessary to wait until February 2024 and pay 2999 francs for this technological flagship.

After a very enthusiastic first impression, I nevertheless identified two limits to this screen. To begin with, the effect is maximum at a distance close to sixty centimeters. Then, when the 3D animation leaves the center and goes to the edges of the screen, we sometimes see the image doubled. Otherwise, I have never seen anything so good!

Lunettes Legion Glasses

The Lenovo Legion Glasses USB-C glasses, available this fall for 499 francs, mark an incredible progress compared to last year. This time, to begin with, they are distinguished by a true Full HD type resolution. It’s finally the end of the pixels that we might almost count!

Then, following tasting this quality display, I connected them without difficulty to a Samsung smartphone to use the DeX platform. Even if it’s still experimental and the cable is too short and too heavy, like these glasses, Lenovo has made incredible progress. It remains to find a real use for this product…

La console Legion Go!

In addition to the Legion 9i gaming computer, Lenovo unveiled a kind of small game console powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. On either side of the 8.8-inch screen, detachable joysticks allow you to play on this Windows 11 touchscreen PC, whose total weight does not exceed 640 grams!

Taken in hand, this ultraportable computer supported by 16 GB of RAM has been very responsive. The “gamers” present seemed to appreciate the few demos available. I also found that given the technological progress made, surfing with your fingers on this touch screen is quite playable. The 799 francs which will be claimed this fall are correct.
