Lenovo formalizes seven Ryzen 7000 APUs and the mobile GeForce RTX 4050

The company unveiled its 2023 IdeaPad 5 lineup. The product sheets reveal the names of seven APUs Ryzen 7000HS (Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5) and Ryzen 7000U (Ryzen 7, Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3), as well as the GeForce RTX 4050 laptop.

For once, Lenovo has formalized several Ryzen 7000 mobile processors (Dragon Range APUs) before AMD, and a GeForce RTX 4000 laptop graphics card before NVIDIA. The brand detailed its new series of IdeaPad 5 and unveiled at the same time Ryzen 7, Ryzen 5 of the Ryzen 7000HS series (IdeaPad Pro 5), Ryzen 7, Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 of the Ryzen 7000U series (IdeaPad Slim 5), as well as the mobile GeForce RTX 4050.

Here are the seven Ryzen chips announced by Lenovo:
AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS
AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS
AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS
AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS
AMD Ryzen 7 7730U
AMD Ryzen 5 7530U
AMD Ryzen 3 7330U

Ryzen 7000 APUs

The specifications of these processors are not provided. The only concrete data concerns the iGPUs: Radeon 600M as currently for certain references, Radeon 700M for others. In principle, the Dragon Range mobile APUs benefit from Zen 4 CPU and RDNA 3 GPU architectures. Obviously, therefore, processors with RDNA 2 iGPUs are also to be expected. Note that the HS series chips should have a TDP of 35 W by default, those of the U series 15 W.

GeForce RTX 4050 laptop

Regarding the entry-level Ada Lovelace mobile graphics card, we have to be content with its name. The IdeaPad Pro 5 will ship this solution or the GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB. However, a recent leak also mentioned 6 GB for the GeForce RTX 4050 laptop.
