Lenovo has announced a new gaming monitor in its Legion lineup, the Y34w, which uses a 34-inch ultra-wide screen with a WQHD Mini-LED panel.
The Mini-LED panel has been showing up in high-end gaming monitors from competitors such as the Samsung Neo Odyssey G9, but in the case of this release, the intention is to transition to “affordable” options.
The Lenovo Legion Y34w gaming display has 165 Hz refresh and is certified with DisplayHDR 1000. It also supports AMD Freesync Premium Pro with a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. The monitor offers 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-bit color depth and Delta E<2 color accuracy.
The monitor has HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-C ports and offers support devices with up to 140W of reverse powerand can be used in conjunction with a gaming laptop.
The monitor is expected to be released in July 29 with an expected price of less than 3,000 RMB or $420 (R$ 2.017), which is a reasonable value for all the functions it provides. The company has not disclosed whether the monitor will be released globally, but that information should be revealed very soon, given the proximity of the launch.
