FILM Lembayung is the first film from director Baim Wong. This film is also the first collaboration between Prime Eagle Studios and Tiger Wong Entertainment.
The first film from director Baim Wong took more than a year to finally become a horror film entitled Lembayung.
“For me, this is a very, very long job. I’ve been working on this for more than a year until the ending now. The trust needed is also very high, ahhh I’m surprised it’s only a month away (airing) I think I was still editing yesterday,” said Baim Wong, director of the horror film Lembayung, in a press conference, Monday (26/8).
The Lembayung film is an adaptation of the Jin Poligigi thread that went viral in 2022 on social media X via the account @saturnrushx. This story is based on the true story of the thread writer named Pica.
Tells a true story that happened between Pica and his friend Arum, while undergoing an internship at a dental poly unit of a clinic on the outskirts of Yogyakarta. However, the thread was not continued due to the trauma experienced by Pica.
The scenario for this horror film was written by Baim Wong and Gemati Rahayu.

The official trailer for the horror film Lembayung features a creepy figure. A ghost figure with dripping saliva, loose hair and a long tongue, bringing real horror.
Arum (played by Yasamin Jasem) gets terror incessantly until her condition becomes dire. Not only terror from the scary ghost figure, this film also shows horrific bloody scenes.
The original voice recording of Pica, a nurse who experienced terror during her internship, makes the horror in the official trailer even more pronounced.
The film Lembayung stars Arya Saloka, Taskya Namya, Yasamin Jasem, Oka Antara, Anna Jobling, Erick Estrada, Asri Welas, Ence Bagus, Daffa Wardhana, Wulan Guritno, Anna Jobling, Tyo Pakusadewo, Sari Nila, Mario Maulana and Dayu Wijayanto.
The film Lembayung will be shown in Indonesian cinemas on September 19, 2024. (Z-1)
