Every Sunday, Leif GW Persson reviews the week’s criminal case in TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon.
But now it’s over.
– I have decided, says GW.
Leif GW Persson79, began his participation in TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon saying this is the last time.
– Can I take a small personal message? Without, for that matter, giving a speech to the nation. But this will be my last appearance in Nyhetsmorgon.
The criminologist must have made the decision in connection with his recent 79th birthday.
– Now I’m going to write a book, and hopefully have more time to see all the children, grandchildren and wife, says Leif GW Persson.

Alversjö was taken to bed
The host Jenny Alversjö seemed unprepared for the news.
– Are you going to stop here in Nyhetsmorgon, Leif? Now I’m getting very emotional here, you bring big news like this on Sunday.
Jenny Alversjö said that the popular criminologist will be greatly missed in the box. Leif GW Persson says that he does not have a new channel in the works, but that he has enjoyed it exceptionally well.
– I will miss both you, and the employer as a whole, and my viewers. It is very nice if you can maintain a dialogue via the TV box with a million people.
Leif GW is asked what he mainly takes with him from these years. After a moment of consideration, he says:
– That maybe you shouldn’t go to the roof as often as you used to.
He does not want to go into what his upcoming book will be regarding, as he believes that books should not be talked regarding in advance.
Is not critical of the police following Maja’s disappearance
On the regular agenda, the suspected murder of 17-year-old Maja was discussed. The police have reported themselves to investigate whether they made a mistake in not starting a search operation for Maja until following four days.
Leif GW Persson does not believe that this will lead to anything – and he says that he probably would not have acted differently himself.
– There are so many people who are reported missing, and almost none of these disappearances are due to crime. And it can sometimes be very difficult to see what is what, he says in TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon.
GW had no final words to offer – but looked forward to rounding off his “Nymo” career by eating fish with TV chef Erik Videgård.
