On speaking Punjabi for Maula Jat, Fawad said that the credit goes to the film’s writer Nasir Adeeb and the production team. According to Fawad Khan, he was very weak in Punjabi, so this was another challenge for him, ‘Say some Punjabi words in one way, then draw them out and it changes the fun’.

Fawad Khan said that he was born in Karachi, lived in Lahore, but Punjabi was not spoken at home or at school, so he had difficulties in speaking Punjabi.

Fawad Khan said, ‘When it came time to speak Punjabi for the film, his legs trembled because in front of him was Punjabi expert Hamza Ali Abbasi, who was playing the role of Noori Naat. Now the scene is made by two actors, if one is weak then the scene gets spoiled, all these were challenges which he accepted and fulfilled.’

He said that he has seen a little of the old Moula Jat, but since he does not understand Punjabi properly, most of the things go over his head, so he has not seen the whole but some parts of it.

Fawad Khan said about Gundase that driving it is a separate art. ‘It is a kind of dance, for this the action team came from abroad, now while working with this team we have to take our Punjabi culture along with us and keep it modern.’

He said that the gandasa that was six to seven kilos because it didn’t look right in the plastic, so it was very difficult to take the heavy gandasa, to rotate it, to drive it, to stab it. “Now you will see the movie and you will know how it was played by Gundasa”.

He said: ‘When we did Hum Safar Aur Zindagi Gulzar Hai, people in India used to say that we have not seen such material, Karachi was not known to be like this. So the initiative will come from somewhere else then the artists will do their work.’

Fawad Khan revealed that his Twitter account was created by Sonam Kapoor during the time of the film ‘Khoobsurat’, while Siddharth Malhotra’s Instagram account was created during the Kapoor & Sons era.

Explaining the reason for staying away from social media, he said that he doesn’t know much about social media, because he thinks that because of the confinement of a few letters, the message cannot be completed, to explain things to people. It needs some space and time.

According to Fawad Khan: ‘The Internet has both advantages and disadvantages, but the disadvantages of social media have been felt more.’
