In less than two years of working for Legia Warszawa, Kosta Runajić won the Polish Cup and the Polish Super Cup, and also introduced the team to the Conference League (the competition ended in the 1/16 finals). Later, there were not so many foreign trainers, but they were unable to keep their jobs, including: Roy Hodgson or Igor Tudor (twice). We can therefore talk about a kind of “curse”.
Pietro Oleotto, a journalist from “Messaggero Veneto”, who has been professionally following Udinese’s activities for 30 years, talks about what must happen for Runajić to stay in office until the end of the competition. – He can have 25-26 points after the fall round and finish the season. If the spring round is promising, the club will keep him – he revealed in an interview with “Przegląd Sportowy” Onet.
After the German’s first matches, there was euphoria, which was dampened by the defeat against Roma. Now the team from Udine will face an even more demanding test, as defending champion Inter Milan, sixth in the table (8 points), will come to the Stadio Friuli. The match will be played on Saturday, September 28 at 15:00, and Piotr Zieliński should be in the starting line-up of the guests.
