Legendary French Actor Alain Delon Dies

Legendary French film star Alain Delon has died at the age of 88.

The actor was a star in the golden era of the French film industry, best known for his heroic roles in a number of hits, including The Samurai and Borsalino.

“He passed away peacefully at his home in Douchy surrounded by his three children and family,” the statement said, adding that the family asked for privacy during their time of grief.

Delon has suffered from health problems in recent years and has retreated from the public spotlight.

Once described as the most handsome man in film, Delon starred in a number of hit films in the 1960s including The Leopard and Rocco and his Brothers.

Since the 1990s, Delon has appeared less frequently, but his name still appears in celebrity news several times.

In total, Delon starred in more than 90 films throughout his career.

An official statement from Delon’s family said, “Alain Fabien, Anouchka, Anthony and his dog (Loubo) are deeply saddened by the passing of their father.”

“Alain Delon died at his home in Douchy surrounded by his three children and his family,” the Delon family concluded. (bbc/Z-1)
