Legal Medicine identified 11 military operation bodies in Putumayo

The National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences identified the 11 bodies left by the military operation that took place in the rural area of ​​Puerto Leguízamo (Putumayo), last Monday, March 28.

Among the bodies to which he performed a medico-legal necropsy, there are 10 older men, a woman and a teenager.

Eight of the bodies were handed over to their relatives or to persons authorized by the competent authorities.

The director in charge of the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, Jorge Arturo Jiménez Pájaro, responded in this way to Senator Iván Cepeda, who had requested precise information on the causes of death of the 11 people, including a younger, the president of the Community Action Board and an Indigenous governor.

Jiménez Pájaro responded to Cepeda that the detailed report on the causes of death of the victims, it is only supplied to judicial authorities.
