Legal dispute with former club PSG: Mbappe demands 55 million euros

As the French newspaper “Le Monde” reports, the outstanding sum is almost 55 million euros. Because of this sum, Mbappé is said to have already contacted the legal commission of the French league association LFP and the European football union UEFA via his management.

The sum demanded is apparently for the outstanding monthly salaries for April, May and June, the last third of a bonus payment for Mbappé’s previous contract extension and an “ethical bonus” for the last months of the contract. In mid-June, Mbappé’s side is said to have already unsuccessfully demanded payment from the club.

The 2018 world champion moved to Champions League winners Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer after seven years in the PSG jersey. There had already been a dispute between the two sides a year ago after Mbappé announced that he would not renew his expiring contract. As a result, the club’s record goalscorer was temporarily excluded from team training.

Mbappé, who once came from AS Monaco for 160 million euros, won six championships and four cups with PSG. However, the hoped-for Champions League title did not materialize.
