Lee Yeon-bok, Busan restaurant in the aftermath of Corona finally closes… billion dollar deficit

Chef Lee Yeon-bok eventually closed a restaurant in Busan due to the corona virus.

On the 12th, Yeonbok Lee posted on SNS, “Thank you so much for loving our Busan Mokran so far. It has been loved and operated in a fun way, but unfortunately, it will be closed on April 30th. Thank you so much for the love.”

Previously, Lee Yeon-bok appeared on a variety show and confessed that he was suffering a billion-dollar deficit due to the followingmath of the corona virus.

“How many people can survive this time,” he said. “When I looked at the statistics last year, the deficit was regarding 120 million won.”

He continued, “Because of Corona, we were only able to receive two people. Even if the table is full, there are few people and how much can two people eat? All of this is unavoidable. We have to work hard to make up for the deficit.” However, in the end, he might not overcome the corona shock.

He entered Korea’s first hotel Chinese restaurant at the age of 17 and started to become a chef in earnest. He has been running a Chinese restaurant ‘Mokran’ in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul for 24 years.
