Hong Kong Chief Executive Lee Ka-chao announced at an innovation and technology forum that he would invest 50 million Hong Kong dollars to support the development of Web3.0 in Hong Kong Cyberport. He pointed out that Web3.0 is a new development direction of the Internet and has the potential to become the driving force for future financial and commercial development.

According to Sing Tao Daily, Li Jiachao pointed out at the forum that the Hong Kong government should pay attention to the development of financial technology and Web3.0, and adopt an open and inclusive attitude towards innovators related to global virtual assets. The Hong Kong government is working with financial regulators to create an environment for the sustainable and responsible development of the financial industry.
