We have winners: the Lee Van Abrahami sisters won tonight in the “Race to the Million 2024” final and won the million shekels prize. From the moment the race was launched, they proved that they really weren’t spoiled by C&S: they climbed thousands of stairs, ate disgusting food, carried impossible weights and cracked complex puzzles. They reached the end point in the finals first after they excelled in a crazy extreme task and picked up the victory of the season. Inbar Ben Atia and Avishi Regev finished in second place and in third place, after a dramatic retirement at the height of the final, Lior Dabach and Sapir Avisror.
Tonight’s finals opened with an extreme task like no other: the trio of finalists had to climb a 50-meter-high installation, using a long rope with which they had to make a rope ladder that would allow them to climb to the top, where the clue envelope awaited them.
Lior, who suffers from a fear of heights, feared that he would not be able to perform this task: “I don’t know myself like that, that the fear overcomes me. I don’t know how to deal with myself.” Ann was also very afraid and for the first time in the race she burst into tears: “I’m not able, it’s an impossible task. It was really hard for me, I was paralyzed. My body was shaking with fear. My heart was stopping. I felt like I had no air.” However, with Lee’s encouragement, she was able to overcome her fear and the two made their way up the facility.

Inbar and Avishi made good progress in the facility, until the moment when Avishi got tired and was on the verge of fainting: “I’m running out of strength, I have no oxygen. I feel like I’m not able to hold the rope.” Inbar strengthened him and encouraged him to continue: “Don’t say ‘I can’t’. Don’t be negative. There’s no way you can’t.” Avishai found the strength to continue climbing: “The competition is no longer against Lee Van Vallior and Sapir, but against myself. I will finish this thing. I have strength. If it wasn’t for Amber, I would have given up.”
Meanwhile, Lior, who was caught in a major crisis, burst into tears when he realized that he could not carry out the task: “I would respect you if you said you couldn’t,” he said to Sapir, “Fear is taking over me. I can’t get rid of it. My heart is beating faster. I will pass out through”. Sapir convinced him to try and climb at least up to the first beam, but once he sat on it he was unable to move. “I saw Lior under real stress,” described Sapir, “we’ve known each other for years. I’ve never seen him in this state. He’s really scared, paralyzed. He can’t come to his senses.”

Lee and Ann were the first to reach the top and had to collect the envelope that was hanging in the air, away from the beam. While Ann balanced her with the rope, Lee grabbed the envelope and the two discovered the location of the end point: Quarro Bridge. The catch? They cannot reach it in their car or by public transport. They must find the local who will give them his car, when they are not allowed to tell where the end point is and the owner of the car is not allowed to join them for the ride.
Lior and Sapir made a difficult and dramatic decision – to withdraw from the race at the height of the final, a touch away from victory. “I have a wife, I have two children at home. I don’t want to die. I lost my father at the age of nine from a cardiac arrest event. I feel like I’m going to have a heart attack here. Fear overcomes me,” Lior explained. Yehuda Levy who was jumped to a place separate from them: “What is between you, this connection, is your victory. Your family is your victory. I had the honor and the pleasure of knowing your souls.” Sapir summed up the journey they went through together: “I’m glad we did the race. Lior and I are forever. Whatever happens in life, Lior will always be by my side – and vice versa. We were born for each other.”

Inbar and Avishi qualified for the top and discovered that the task of collecting the envelope was very complex, but Anbar did not hesitate for a moment and took the scariest step of all: she bungee jumped from the facility, on the way she grabbed the envelope in her hand. The two set out to look for locals who would agree to lend them their car, while Lee and Van found out how difficult it was. They turned to dozens of locals who one by one refused to give them a car, until they found a passer-by whose friend agreed to drive to them and lend him his car. the problem? He will arrive in fifteen minutes to twenty minutes, a period of time during which Inbar and Avishi may find a car and go to the finish point. Lee and An took a bet and chose to wait, which could have cost them the win.
In the meantime, Inbar and Avishi found a hostel where they happened to meet an Israeli who agreed to give them his car. They went out to the finish point, with Li and Van parallel to them. It was a long and nerve-racking road, during which both couples did not know where they were in relation to the couple in front of them. This fateful trip was worth no less than a million shekels.
The first to reach the finish point were Lee and Ann who were announced as the big winners in the “Race to a Million”. “Our parents came from a very poor place,” they told Yehuda, “they got their money themselves. Their goal was to equip us with abilities so that whether we have them or not, it’s irrelevant. We proved ourselves, we did tasks that two girls find very difficult to do We left a respectable and serious mark.”
Inbar and Avishi finished in second and very respectable place. Avishi said in tears: “I have three daughters who will sit and see Inbar, their cousin, can do anything. If the girls sit and see a woman like that, not a man with muscles and not a father who is considered strong, that is the greatest victory for me. They will see her and believe that they can do anything in this life, that they can achieve anything they want in this world. Amber, this is the seal that there is nothing you want in the world and you will not achieve it.” Inbar concluded: “We went through a great journey and this is our gift, not what will or will not come out of here and whether we won or not. The very fact that we got here, to this status and to this moment, I am lucky. We are here against all the odds.”
