Discontinued in 2022, the wireless speaker line Beats Pill may very well be about to show up again — and the “leaker” Responsible for this information is none other than… LeBron James!
As noted by MacRumorsthe NBA star was recently filmed with what appears to be a never-before-seen version of the speaker of the Apple subsidiary. The video in question was published on the official profile of the Los Angeles Lakers, the basketball team of which James is a member.
The original Beats Pill was launched in 2012, and gained a successor in 2015, with the introduction of Beats Pill+. The speaker spotted with the athlete not only has the Beats logo for everyone to see, but also a handle that did not exist on previous versions of the device, indicating that it is indeed a new model.
It’s not yet clear what new features this new version of Beats will bring, but it’s possible that it will be launched with a USB-C port, Bluetooth improvements and Spatial Audio support (Spatial Audio) with Dolby Atmos.
