LeBron James finds a way to get people talking regarding him once more since he made himself sweep eliminated in the Playoffs by the Denver Nuggets. Except that this time, we’re not sure hot take of press conference but rather on an info quite simply… incredible, since James would have played in recent months with a torn tendon in the foot.
We knew that the King’s body was out of the ordinary but here we are all the same on things that go beyond understanding… After beating the Grizzlies in the first round then the Warriors in the semi-finals of conf’, LeBron has played 16 postseason games with a diminished papate. Shams Sharania recently revealed this in a video on The Pat McAfee Show:
“LeBron James played the last few months of the season with a torn tendon in his foot that might need surgery this summer..
He’s gonna take the next couple months to get reenergized and I fully expect him to play next season” ~ @ShamsCharania #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/WBBJ2Ciguh

“LeBron James played the final months of the season with a torn tendon in his foot that may require surgery this summer. […] He’s going to take the next two months to recharge and I expect him to play next season.”
Needless to say that at 38 years old, the LeBron James of the Lakers is no longer the monster of that of Cleveland or Miami since we have begun to observe a gradual decline in recent seasons. But that doesn’t prevent the King from always being one of the best players in the league, and besides… he doesn’t think less of it since he recently declared that he was “better than 90% of the NBA. Maybe 95”. When we know that he played these Playoffs injured with averages of 24.5 points, 10 rebounds, 6.5 assists while shooting 50% in… 39 minutes of playwe think that Bronbron – even if he loves the cameras a little too much – is certainly right when he swings such statements.
Now remains the theater fog regarding his potential retirement: Shams confirms that he will rest for the next few months and return to attack for the start of the 2023-2024 season. It is true that when you know the character and his love of the media, it is almost impossible to believe that LeBron will choose to leave by the back door following being made sweeper by Nikola Jokic and his gang… All the more so when he is still (significantly) better than at least 90% in the league. And we still haven’t mentioned the King’s desire to play with his son in the Big League, so there’s no shortage of arguments to convince yourself that LeBron is manipulating the press to be in the spotlight…
There is something to be impressed regarding anyway since at 38 brooms, LeBron is still one of the best players in the league while carrying his team to the Conference finals with an injured foot. Even if the King annoys to bring everything back to him as soon as he leaves the road, let’s realize his almost inhuman longevity and take advantage of his last minutes on the NBA floors.
