LeBron James debuted Nike sneakers at the Olympics that we’d never seen before (and that anyone could mistake for Crocs)

We have seen him with them walking around Paris, but also when he went as a spectator to see the United States women’s basketball team. It was about the Nike ReactX Rejuven8. Some slides that are not yet on sale but, from what we can see, seem to be made of foam and have ventilation holes on the top (hence their resemblance to Crocs).

Of course, the iconic Nike Swoosh could not be missing, which is present on the side of the shoe, contrasting with the blue gradient of the shoe. This is not the first time that Nike has made a pair of slidesWe saw it with the collaboration that the firm did with the designer Matthew M. Williams and his MMW 005, apart from the Jordan Roam; although it is true that they had never presented them in this way: through a sporting legend at the Olympic Games.

Not much is known about the Nike ReactX Rejuven8 yet, but it is believed that Its launch will take place in spring 2025being the perfect occasion, taking into account that they are a shoe designed for the hottest months.

Through its name, you can guess that they will be manufactured with its ReactX foam. A Nike exclusive technology which is often used to increase the performance of its best running shoes. This advancement has led to improved energy return when running and also a reduction in the carbon footprint, because they require less energy to manufacture.

It has also been said that these shoes are a reference to the Air Rejuven8 line of the firm from the 2000s, which focused on the breathability of the shoe through its ventilation system. Therefore, we can assume that the model that LeBron is wearing must be extremely comfortable and, therefore, ideal for his moments of rest during the competition.

The blue tones and gradient of LeBron’s sneaker seem to be the perfect combination “Glacier Blue”but the Nike ReactX Rejuven8 is expected to go on sale in other color combinations as well, such as pink, brown, orange or green, among others.

Its price? Some sources claim that it will be around 70 dollars (64 euros), for both men and women, but until its launch is officially announced, we will not be able to know for sure.

The shoe has caused quite a stir on social media, with opinions totally polarized, which is precisely what usually happens every time a brand launches a shoe that deviates from the norm (we already saw it with Barry Keoghan’s UGGs). In the meantime, we will dedicate ourselves to delight in the exclusive sneakers that LeBron James and other athletes show off at the Olympic Games.
