Lebanon Weather Forecast: Rain, Snow, and Temperature Updates

The Estimates Department at the Meteorological Department in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation expected that the weather tomorrow will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with moderate clouds, with a slight rise in temperatures, which will become within their seasonal rates. Some scattered and intermittent light rain will fall in the northern regions, with some light snow in the Altitude: 1800 metres.

The bulletin stated the following:

– General condition: Volatile and sometimes rainy weather dominates Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean until tomorrow evening, Wednesday, where it gradually stabilizes with a rise in temperatures that return to their seasonal levels.

Note: The amount of precipitation from Wednesday morning until Monday morning was: Tripoli 175 mm – Beirut 153 mm – Zahle 137 mm – Suhaila – Keserwan 253 mm.

The authority issued a report last Wednesday morning in which it estimated the expected amounts of rain between 120 and 250 mm from the south to the north.

Note: Average temperatures for January in Beirut are between 11 and 19 degrees, Tripoli is between 9 and 17 degrees, and in Zahle between 3 and 13 degrees.

The Meteorological Service denied what was being circulated on social media regarding the occurrence of a severe snowstorm during the next week, and the impact of a regular depression accompanied by cold air masses originating from the Black Sea is expected as of Monday followingnoon, leading to heavy rain at times and snow at an altitude of 1,000 meters. .

– Expected weather in Lebanon:

Tuesday: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times with fog on the highlands without significant change in temperature. Scattered and intermittent rain falls until the followingnoon, winds are active at times, and some light snow falls at an altitude of 1,600 meters. It warns of the risk of slides as a result of ice forming at night on Mountain roads above 1900 metres.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy to sometimes cloudy with moderate clouds, with a slight rise in temperatures that become within their seasonal averages. Some scattered and intermittent light rain will fall in the northern regions, with some light snow at an altitude of 1,800 metres.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with an additional rise in temperatures that become above their seasonal averages, turning partly cloudy in the followingnoon with high clouds.

Friday: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times with medium and high clouds with no significant change in temperature, and drizzle is expected to fall at night on the northern highlands.

The temperature on the coast is from 13 to 20 degrees, above the mountains from 5 to 13 degrees, and in the interior from 5 to 13 degrees.

– Surface winds: southwesterly, active at times, speed between 15 and 40 km/h.

Visibility: Moderate to bad at times on the mountains due to fog and rain.

– Relative humidity on the coast: between 60 and 85%.

– Sea condition: mostly wavy, water surface temperature: 20 degrees.

– Atmospheric pressure: 767 mm Hg
