Lebanon: Child Muhammad Istanbuli, victim of filming a terrifying scene for “Tik Tok”

The city of Tyre, in southern Lebanon, was devastated by the death of the six-year-old, Muhammad Haidar Istanbuli, following he suffered a shock that led to a sudden stop in his heart, and he died instantly. Muhammad, who was buried today, Saturday, amid widespread public anger, his innocent heart might not bear what his eyes saw of a terrifying scene that was being filmed for display on the Tik Tok application, according to what was circulated.

In the details, a neighbor and friend of the family, Raja Al-Shaar, told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that “Mohammed was playing at around seven o’clock in the evening yesterday (Friday) on his bicycle and having fun with his companions in the old Tire neighborhood, specifically in the excavation area – the antiquities.” , near the Mamluk Palace, which is the only outlet for the children of the neighborhood and the area, as it includes a number of swings, and is only regarding 50 meters away from the child’s house.Suddenly, a group of two young men and women, who were wearing terrifying masks, among them some dressed in black clothes and others dressed in gypsy clothes, came. They also carried swords and machetes, and began to act out a terrifying scene to display on their page through the Tik Tok application, according to what we learned.

He continued: “The aforementioned group was jumping and surprising the other in a terrifying way, to the sound of frightening music, and they were filming using a “drone” without any prior permission or authorization. At first, they did not comply with the antiquities employee who tried to prevent them from using the “drone”, claiming that they were “supported.” After that, they stopped using the aforementioned plane, but they continued filming the scene.

In the meantime, Muhammad saw the masked young woman carrying a sword, so he became frightened and panicked and rushed to drag his bike towards his house, but the young woman ran following him to calm him down, but her behavior doubled his terror, and he fell to the ground and died instantly. The coroner’s report stated, “The cause of death was a sharp drop in the heart as a result of the shock, while the child did not suffer any fractures as a result of falling to the ground, but only an external scratch on his nose.”

A neighbor and friend of the family regretted the painful incident, saying: “Muhammad is today a victim, and we might have lost other children. He was playing with his twin brother Ali and regarding 15 other children who started crying and screaming when they saw the horrific scene, before Ali caught up with his brother and saw him lying dead.” the earth”.

He pointed out that “Muhammad also has three sisters, the eldest of whom is regarding 13 years old, and he was still in the third kindergarten, and he did not suffer at all from any health problems or chronic diseases. His father, Haider, filed a lawsuit once morest the two young men and women, and investigations are still ongoing. But we don’t know if they were arrested.”

Al-Shaar hoped that the incident would not be repeated, as the same scene would have caused the death of an elderly or sick man. No one has the right to take similar irresponsible behavior, without notifying the security services and obtaining prior permission and alerting the parents, thus preventing the presence of children and adopting public safety standards, especially In a place known to be a haven for children.

The tragedy angered the families and activists, who lamented “the amount of insignificance and absurdity that prompts many to drift behind the challenges and record the number of viewers and follow-ups on social media platforms, without realizing its consequences and risks,” according to many comments.
