Today, Wednesday, the Lebanese army announced the killing of a terrorist who tried to run over two soldiers during his arrest on charges of smuggling explosive materials for ISIS.
According to a statement issued by the army, the incident occurred today, “during a patrol attempt by the Intelligence Directorate in the Wadi Khaled area to arrest the wanted (M.M), who was smuggling weapons and explosive materials for the benefit of the terrorist organization ISIS.”

The statement added that the wanted person “attempted to run over the patrol members with his car in order to escape, so the officers had to shoot at him, which led to his death.”
It is noteworthy that Wadi Khaled is an area located in the far north of Lebanon on the border with Syria, and it is one of the poorest and most marginalized areas in Lebanon.
