On Wednesday, the Saudi authorities thwarted an attempt to smuggle 1,056,162 amphetamine tablets hidden in plastic barrels in the Tabuk region.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior said, through a video posted on its Twitter account, that the security follow-up to the activities and attempts to smuggle drugs into the Kingdom resulted in the naval patrols in the Al-Wajh sector in the Tabuk region thwarting an attempt to smuggle 1,056,162 amphetamine tablets, and seizing them hidden in plastic barrels.

The ministry indicated that the initial regulatory measures were taken, and the seizures were handed over to the competent authorities.
