The correspondent added that an Israeli raid took place near sites belonging to the International Emergency Forces (UNIFIL) on the outskirts of the town of Yarin, southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army said that their helicopters were launching raids on several sites in Lebanese territory following the infiltration attempt, stressing that they were continuing to comb the area.
The Lebanese Army called on citizens to be careful and not to go to the border areas in order to preserve their safety following the border areas were exposed to Israeli bombing.
Three Israeli soldiers were injured in an exchange of fire with gunmen who infiltrated from Lebanese territory, according to Israeli Channel 13, while the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the Israeli army bombed Hezbollah observation posts in the infiltration area in the western sector of southern Lebanon.
