“Lebanese Health” records 4 new cases of cholera, and the total reaches 18 cases

The Lebanese Ministry of Health recorded 4 new cases of cholera, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 18 since the disease appeared in the country on October 5..

The ministry stated, in a report it issued today, Tuesday, that no deaths have been recorded so far due to cholera, while the number of infections has expanded to include separate areas in Akkar, northern Lebanon, where 4 cases appeared in Arsal, Halba and Al-Haweish, Benin, and Rehaniyah 11 cases..

The ministerial committee in charge of confronting the outbreak of the cholera epidemic held its meeting today, headed by Najib Mikati, and in the presence of a number of ministers, and took decisions to ensure clean water and sanitation, considering that their contaminated sources are among the most important causes of the spread of the disease.
