Despite what the health sector in Lebanon is suffering from, Lebanese doctors have become messengers and ambassadors for their country in the world. Heroes in the “white robe” carry the torch of life, innovate, innovate, and go to save lives everywhere and at all times.
A new human achievement is recorded in the name of a Lebanese doctor, not on earth, but in the sky this time. He is Dr. Alaa Al-Hajj, a graduate of the Peoples’ Friendship University in Moscow, who is completing his specialization in bone and joint surgery. MTV contacted him, and he told us the details of what happened on a flight between Moscow and Doha on the 18th of last July.
Dr. Alaa recounted: “I was on my way from Moscow to Doha, and during the trip I heard loud screams and screams, so I rushed to find out what was happening, and behold, a 48-year-old man was ill, and it was found that he suffers from pressure problems, but he is not receiving any treatment, according to what his wife assured me. He added: “Then I examined him and gave him first aid, but his condition began to deteriorate and he began to breathe with difficulty, while his heartbeat became very fast, so I told the flight crew that it was urgent to land at the nearest airport because the patient needed hospitalization, and the crew responded to my request.” The plane landed at Kuwait Airport, and the patient was transferred to the hospital, and thank God I was able to help him, and this is the duty of any doctor, wherever he is.
In conclusion, the heroic doctor said: “Medicine is a message, and I fulfilled my humanitarian and medical duties on board that flight, and I will certainly return to Lebanon immediately following my specialization to practice medicine and help the people of my country, for Lebanon is my country that I am proud of in front of the whole world.”
