SUCCESSFUL with the film Dua Garis Biru, the story of Bima (Angga Yunanda) and Dara (Aisha Nurra Datau) was once once more shown on the big screen through the film Dua Hati Biru. It is hoped that the film Two Blue Hearts will follow the success of Two Blue Lines which has been watched by around 2.5 million viewers in cinemas.

The film Dua Hati Biru continues the life journey of Bima and Dara. However, the conflict raised is no longer regarding pregnancy in school-age children (17 years), but rather the complexity of building a household at a young age.

The story begins with Dara’s return from Korea following completing her studies and working in the K-pop country for four years. Dara reunites with Bima and their son, Adam (Farrell Rafisqy), who has grown up.

Dara’s reunion in the same house with Bima and Adam turns out to give rise to many conflicts. Such as economic issues, poor communication, and differences in views regarding parenting and educating Adam, both Bima, Dara, or Bima and Dara’s parents.

“I can’t be the head of the family. I can’t lead you. You’ve gone too far for me,” said Bima to Dara.

Even though it shows a lot of domestic conflict between Bima and Dara, this film is also peppered with lots of romantic scenes between the two of them. Keanu’s appearance in this film is able to make the film Dua Hati Biru more colorful because it shows entertaining scenes.

Heavy Topics

“The topic (in this film) is actually heavy because it is related to family economics, managing a household. I learned a lot through this film,” explained Angga Yunanda at a group viewing event at CGV Pakuwon Mall Jogja, Saturday (20/4) followingnoon.

Angga admitted that he learned a lot from this film, especially in understanding how complex household problems are. One lesson that he thinks is important is that men should not prioritize their own ego as head of the household.

“I learned a lot regarding being able to control my ego and how to communicate well with my partner,” he explained.

According to Angga, the important message in this film is the importance of preparing carefully before starting a family.

“Everything must be clear before marriage, (such as) who works, career, finances. All (agreements) are finalized (discussed) before going to the serious level,” he said.

When asked by the audience regarding men who are housewives and wives who work, Angga was of the opinion that everything depends on the family’s economy following having children. Personally, Angga admitted that he would be happy to support his partner’s career.

For Aisha Nurra, through this film she learned regarding the complexity of the household and understood the importance of communication in a household. In order to deepen the character of the young mother she plays, she admitted that she chatted a lot with directors who were young mothers who had experienced Married by Accident (MBA) and who were working.

“It turns out that communication is very important in a household. Because maybe I can’t feel the truth because I’m not married yet,” he said.

This 106 minute film is directed by Gina S. Noer with Dinna Jasanti. Apart from Angga Yunanda, Aisha Nurra Datau, and Farrell Rafisqy, this film also stars Lulu Tobing, Cut Mini Theo, Arswendy Bening, Rachel Amanda, Shakira Jasmin, and Maisha Kanna. (Z-3)
