The dancer Dina is one of the most prominent artists who stirred a great controversy, whether in her artistic or personal life. She is considered one of the best dancers in the Arab world,

She occupied a high place in the hearts of lovers of the art of belly dancing. The American magazine Newsweek called her “the last Egyptian dancer.” Her love for dancing made her bury her fiancé in the morning and dance at night.

Dina was born in the Italian capital, Rome, on April 12, 1964, at the age of 56. She lived a different life in her childhood, then returned with her family to Egypt and resided in the Sayeda Zeinab neighborhood in Cairo. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Department of Philosophy, Ain Shams University, and obtained a master’s degree in Philosophy.

She loved art from an early age, especially the art of belly dancing, because she was influenced by the dancer, Farida Fahmy. She began her artistic career in the world of dance in 1980,

She joined the Reda Troupe for Folklore when she was only fifteen years old. Dina ran away from her family with her sister, the retired singer Rita, who was working in the field of singing and decided to retire and wear the niqab.

After her parents rejected her professionalism in oriental dance, Ibrahim Akef considered the pioneer of the art of clackit in Egypt as her teacher, first teacher and role model in the art of oriental dance, which she called “Baba”, and the belly dancer Samia Gamal is considered her ideal in the world of dance.

She entered the field of acting through her first acting experience through the movie “Al-Bandira” with the artist Mervat Amin and Izzat Al-Alayli.

She also married 3 times from outside the artistic community, including a marriage to a young man who did not recognize him until following a copy of their marriage contract was leaked, and then she was customarily married to businessman Hossam Aboul Fotouh, a marriage that lasted for more than 5 years and no one knew regarding it until following the “C” scandal d’ famous.

The CD scandal of the dancer Dina and Aboul Fotouh is one of the most scandals that the artistic community witnessed in the era of the late President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, and rumors claimed at the time that the leak of the video was in retaliation for Hossam Aboul Fotouh, who criticized Business Alaa and Gamal Mubarak in his secret sessions and communications.

Then the surprise occurred, and Dina waived the accusation of Aboul Fotouh of filming her without clothes, and the court ruled that he was innocent of his accusation of photographing some women while they were having intercourse without their knowledge, and the court ordered the execution of the seized pictures and tapes.

The last marriage in Dina’s life was for businessman Wael Abu Hussein in 2011, and she also separated from him following a marriage that lasted for 8 years, and she was satisfied with declaring their separation, saying: “Everything is a division and a share.”
