Egypt implements the first line ofelectric train The expressway, which is among the 3 lines that are being implemented to form a 2000 km long network that will reach from Arqin in Aswan to Marsa Matrouh on the Mediterranean Sea, and we show in the following lines the details and stations of the first line that is being implemented.
The first line is known as the “Green Line” (Ain Sukhna – New Alamein – Marsa Matruh), its length is 660 km, and it includes 22 stations, including 10 stations of the high-speed train and 12 regional stations, and they are (Ain Sukhna – the Administrative Capital – Mohamed Naguib – Cairo – South of Giza – “Branching of Al Ayat – Fayoum, Beni Suef” – Hadayek October – 6th of October – Sphinx – Sadat – Wadi El Natrun – Nubaria – Alexandria – Burj Al Arab – Amreya – Hammam – El Alamein – Sidi Abdel Rahman – El Dabaa – Swan Lake – Ras El Hikma Almaza Bay – Matrouh).
34 passenger trains are manufactured for the line, and 10 freight transport tractors, the design speed is 250 km / h, the operating speed of the trains is 230 km / h, the regional electric trains are 160 km / h, and the electric cargo tractors are 120 km / h.
There are 10 designated stations for the high-speed train, which are “Ain Sokhna – Administrative Capital – Cairo – October Gardens – Sadat – Alexandria – El Alamein – El Dabaa – Ras El Hikma – Matrouh”.
There are 12 regional stations in addition to El Ayat and Beni Suef / Fayoum stations, which are (Mohammed Naguib – Giza – El Ayat – Fayoum / Beni Suef – 6th of October – Sphinx – Wadi El Natrun – Nubaria – Borg El Arab – Amreya – El Hamam – Sidi Abdel Rahman – Swan Lake – Almaza bye).
