A source in Al-Ahly Club revealed the period of absence of Taher Mohamed Taher, the player of the red team, following he was injured in the inner ligament of the knee on the sidelines of his team’s training.
The source confirmed that Taher Taher will be absent from Al-Ahly for two to three weeks before returning to participate in his team’s collective training, and then announcing his readiness to participate in the official matches.
Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, the doctor of the first football team at Al-Ahly Club, said in statements to the official website that Taher Mohamed Taher, the team player, had x-rays and medical examinations, during which it was revealed that he had a dislocation in the inner ligament of the knee.
The source added that the player missed the team’s group training today, in preparation for undergoing a rehabilitation program to recover from the injury and return quickly to participate in the team’s group training.
Al-Ahly resumed its training this morning, Monday, at the touch stadium in Al-Jazeera, following the rest that the team obtained yesterday for a period of 24 hours.
Al-Ahly had defeated Talaea El-Jaish, 1/2, in the match that was held last Friday evening, in the fifth round of the Egyptian Professional Clubs League.
Al-Ahly tops the Premier League standings table with 12 points, achieving the full mark following defeating Ismaili, Aswan, Al-Dakhiliyah and Tala’a Al-Jaish.
Al-Ahly is preparing to face the Ghazl El-Mahalla team at its stadium, which is scheduled for the day following tomorrow, Wednesday, within the framework of the Egyptian Club League competitions.
