The first team of Al-Ahly club put its feet in the semi-finals of the African Champions League for the third consecutive season, following excluding Moroccan hope from the tournament at its stadium and among its fans.
Al-Ahly eliminated the Moroccan Raja Casablanca team from the African Champions League, following imposing a 1-1 draw on it, in the second leg of the African Champions League quarter-final, in the confrontation that took place at the Mohammed V complex, taking advantage of its 2-1 victory in the first leg.
Al-Ahly set a date to meet Algeria’s ES Setif in the African Champions League semi-finals, as the latter managed to exclude Tunisian Esperance from the tournament at its home and among its fans, following winning a clean goal, in the two legs of the tournament.
Al-Ahly will meet ES Setif in the first leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League at Al-Ahly Wei Salam Stadium, on May 6 or 7, while the return match in Algeria will be on either 13 or 14 of the same month.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly club is seeking to achieve the African Champions League title for the third time in a row, following winning the last two editions of the tournament, the first at the expense of Zamalek in 2020 and the second at the expense of Kaizer Chiefs in 2021.
