The candidate for head of the Buenos Aires Government of Unión por la Patria, Leandro Santoroannounced her running mate for the general elections on October 22, she is the architect specialized in Urban Projects, Barbara Rossen.
Rossen is currently responsible for the area of Urban Rights, Public Space and Environment in the Ombudsman’s Office.
The news was made official by the leader of radicalism K through his Twitter account: “Bárbara Rossen is our candidate for Deputy Head of Government because she has the knowledge and commitment to guarantee access to housing and public space.”

“Thank you Leandro Santoro and Unión por la Patria for the trust. As an architect, I will put all my technical capacity, experience and sensitivity to achieve a fairer and more humane city,” she wrote on her social networks.
The Unión por la Patria candidate obtained just 22.17% of the votes in the PASO held on August 13. According to the data from the scrutiny in the City, Together for Change was left with 55.92% of the votes from the 28.66 points of the PRO leader Jorge Macri and the 27.16 of the radical Martín Lousteau.

Meanwhile, the third force with the most votes was La Libertad Avanza, which, led by its candidate, Ramiro Marra, reached 12.95%.
Who is Barbara Rossen?
Barbara Rosssen graduated as an architect from FADU-UBA, specialized in urban projects and is a member of the Collective of Architects, created in 2020 in defense of the City’s public lands.
It is part of the Ombudsman’s Office, where since 2014 it is the General Director of Access Rights to the City, responsible for the areas of Urban Waste and Public Space, Environment and Sustainable Development, Community Control and Housing.
She was General Director of Infrastructure of the National Ministry of Education and member of the General Directorate of Special Projects of ANSES. Previously, she was General Director of the Urban Planning Commission of the City Legislature, Counselor of the Urban Environmental Plan Council of the City Government and member of the Buenos Aires 2000 Program and the Institutional Reform Program of the City of Buenos Aires of the INAP, from the Cabinet office.
