Leaks Galaxy S23 Ultra – an expected improvement in battery life and charging speed!

It seems that Samsung has finished setting up the rear camera on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, as the famous leaker Ice Universe confirmed that the phone will come with a new rear camera with a main sensor of 200 megapixels.

Samsung develops a 200-megapixel sensor for the Galaxy S23 Ultra

In fact, there have been numerous reports over the past weeks that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with a 200MP camera instead of 108MP. It is clear that the recent leak confirms this fact.

In the past, Samsung had announced the ISOCELL HP1 sensor and then the ISOCELL HP3 sensor, and the Motorola Moto X30 Pro was supposed to be launched with this last sensor sometime during the past week, but Motorola decided to delay the launch for an unknown reason.

Up to this point there is no phone on the market that has a 200MP camera sensor. And while Samsung won’t be the first, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to have the best imaging sensor ever.

The new 200MP camera sensor is said to be named ISOCELL HP2 and will be able to deliver professional results and high quality images that are better than any other sensor on the market.

The pixel size on the new sensor is 0.6 micropixel, so it averages the pixel size between the HP1 sensor which has a pixel size of 0.64 micropixel and the HP3 sensor which has a pixel size of 0.56 micropixel.

The sensor itself will be smaller in size than the ISOCELL HP1 sensor but will be larger than the ISOCELL HP3 sensor. In fact, the new 108-megapixel sensor is likely to come once more, so it’s best to wait to hear more leaks and reports on this matter before we can say anything.

Aside from the main camera, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to have the same setup as other cameras we’ve seen on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This means a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP zoom camera are required for 10x and 3x zooms. But Samsung will certainly try to work towards improving the image quality on the new flagship.

Away from photography capabilities, and moving on to battery life, the same leaker claimed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a 5,000mAh battery, which means it will come with the same battery capacity that we saw on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

This also means that the new phone is likely to support the same 45W charging speed, but it is possible that the company can improve its charging technology algorithm in order to speed up the charging process.

Last but not least, the phone will be powered by the upcoming and yet to be announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which should deliver significantly better results in terms of performance, power consumption and heat dissipation.

The new processor is manufactured by the Taiwanese company TSMC with a precision of 4 nanometers and is scheduled to be announced sometime during the month of November of 2022.
