Leaked conversation between Trump and his security detail at the moment of the assassination attempt

United States – The Washington Post published on Sunday the dialogue that took place between former US President Donald Trump and the security personnel assigned to protect him moments following the assassination attempt at a mass rally in Pennsylvania.

At the moment he heard the gunshots, Trump grabbed his right ear and squatted under the podium.

While his Secret Service security personnel headed towards Trump, surrounding him from all sides to get him out of the theater, Trump lost his shoe, and a conversation took place between him and the personnel:

Trump: Let me put my shoes on.
Security Officer: I understand you, sir. Your head is bleeding.
Trump: Let me put my shoes on.

However, Trump’s shoe was left on the stage following the presidential candidate was taken away.

Trump was subjected to an assassination attempt while he was speaking at an election rally in Pennsylvania, and a video clip documented the moment of the assassination attempt moments following he took the stage, as the Secret Service escorted him away with blood pouring from the side of his face.

Trump confirmed on social media that he was shot in the “upper part of his right ear.”

Pennsylvania police said one person was killed in the incident and two others were seriously injured.

The FBI identified the Trump shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, and he was killed at the scene by Secret Service agents.

American media reported that Thomas Crooks had no criminal past and that authorities had not yet determined the motive for his attempted assassination of Trump.

Multiple federal agencies are currently involved in the investigation, and law enforcement officials say the shooting is being investigated as a possible assassination attempt.
