Leak of GTA 6: the leaker wants to negotiate with Rockstar and claims money | Xbox One

The leaked 90 GTA 6 videos ignited the canvas on this Sunday, September 18. One would have thought that the story was going to boil down to this simple disclosure of internal videos, but the person behind the leak seems to want to go further.

A desired negotiation for money, the source code of GTA 5 already sold

The person responsible for the disclosure of these videos says he was surprised at the extent of the thing in the media and social networks today. Believe it or not, but the fact remains that she offered Rockstar employees to contact her on an end-to-end encrypted email address or on Telegram with a special code to recognize Rockstar employees.

A little later, the ton had changed and this person said he wanted to “negotiate a deal” with Rockstar. She also indicated that she was in possession of the source code of GTA 5 and GTA 6, and that the source code of GTA 6 was “no longer for sale” unlike that of GTA 5 and confidential documents concerning GTA 6.

Things might finally go quite quickly. An editor of RockstarINTEL, reported that the source code for GTA 5 had already found a buyer for the sum of 100,000 dollars, paid for with just over 5 Bitcoins. But the leaker confirmed that it was not his address and that someone had therefore been scammed out of $100,000 thinking of buying the source code of GTA 5. Nevertheless, this demonstrates the sums that some are willing to spend for this kind of data.

If the sale of the GTA 5 source code were to come to an end, however, this would be a major flaw for Rockstar, which now risks seeing people find flaws in GTA Online to then exploit them online and possibly cheat.

The fact that the source code of GTA 6 is no longer for sale tends to demonstrate that the leaker now wishes to monetize his find with Rockstar directly. It remains to be seen whether the company will accede to his request or whether it will instead choose to pursue him by all means. One thing is certain is that this story is not over, and we now expect to receive an official communication from Take-Two and Rockstar on this matter.

The article has been updated to disprove the information of the sale of the GTA 5 source code.
