Leak claims there’s an Xbox Game Pass subscription for family and friends too

A leak regarding the upcoming Xbox Game Pass family subscription plan from Microsoft indicates that the user will be able to share the subscription with friends as well. Microsoft began testing its family plan Xbox Gamepass in Ireland and Colombia earlier this month, and now the leaker’s account has been discovered Lumia updates He announced on Twitter that the branding for this plan would be “Game Pass Friends & Family”.

The leak may mean that Microsoft isn’t considering restricting Xbox GamePass Ultimate subscribers to only sharing their benefits with immediate family members. The current preview allows Xbox GamePass Ultimate subscribers to pay €21.99 per month in Ireland (instead of €12.99 per month) for an unnamed test plan that includes sharing subscription benefits with up to four others. Microsoft doesn’t currently mention a family restriction in its test plan, only that people must be in the same country, which is the only requirement.

Microsoft currently offers Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass for $9.99 per month. Neither of them includes unlocking online multiplayer, but you can upgrade to Xbox GamePass Ultimate for $14.99, which unlocks a gamepass subscription for Xbox console and PC, access to EA Play’s game library, and online multiplayer for consoles.
