The veil is finally lifting on the next League of Legends champion. Bel’Veth emerges from the shadows, a strangely familiar figure; and for good reason… The teasing of this champion started almost 10 years ago. Geeknplay plunges back for you into the past of famous MOBA from Riot Games, in order to decrypt everything.
The genesis of a theory
September 2013on the occasion of the release of the skin Battlecast from Viktor, smart guys first pay attention to its callback animation. During this one, we actually see silhouettes that are evocative to say the least. Moreover, on the Lore side, the skin presents Viktor as a creator of an army of machines with brains. Players quickly connect the first silhouette to that of Battlecast Prime Cho’Gath, skin released a year earlier. A theory then flourishes among the most relentless snoopers of Summoner’s Rift. What if each silhouette depicted on the callback animation of Battlecast Viktor designated a future skin from the same set? Take a look instead.
Quickly, with the release of skins Battlecast pour Kog’Maw et Skarner the following year, the confirmation takes place. The champions shown in this animation are also all from the Void. However, two silhouettes still remain to be determined at the time. Afterwards, Vel’Koz arrives, equipped with his skin Battlecast which makes it correspond to one of the two silhouettes. The finest observers then think they can glimpse the still unknown silhouette in this skin, just above the position of Viktor, through the mist. According to the clues, we would therefore be dealing with a flying creature. Two opposing theories then: either it’s a skin d’Aniviaor it is clearly a new champ.
Let’s leap forward to land in 2017year in which Urgot receives its long-awaited makeover. On this occasion, his skin Battlecast redesigned also sports the famous silhouette, which corroborates this endless teaser. For those who are struggling to find the trace of the winged champion, this one is right under the fire of the cannons d’Urgoton his skin.
Un teasing magistral
Finally, in beginning of year 2022, Riot announces the future release of a jungler from Void. Like an illumination, the pieces of the puzzle come together and now a leak comes to put an end to the assumptions. Make way for Bel’Veth, future terror pacing the jungle of the fault, and whose silhouette corresponds in all respects to those presented previously. We can therefore declare without hesitation that this is a ten-year teaser. And although the silence of the developers in the face of the questions of the players for almost 10 years has sometimes saw our nerves, we must recognize that Riot Games played his shot well. Bel’Veth should therefore land soon with its Battlecast skin that we will not fail to comb through.
It’s finally time to leave you with the video shared by the youtuber Ryscu.
