Lead pierces cheek of young woman who was shot on Waterloo street

A young woman was wounded by a gunshot on the public road in Waterloo on Tuesday evening. According to the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office, the victim, born in 2000 and a resident of Waterloo, was walking on the pavement along the avenue des Pâquerettes when she was hit by a bullet for an unknown reason. The bullet pierced her cheek and the area behind her ear. She was transferred to the Edith Cavell interregional hospital center (Chirec) in Braine-l’Alleud, and her condition is stable. The perpetrator fled on foot, and an investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend the suspect.


A young woman was shot and injured on Tuesday evening on the public highway in Waterloo, we learned on Wednesday from the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office.

A Waterlootoise born in 2000 was walking on the sidewalk bordering the avenue des Pâquerettes, Tuesday evening around 8:00 p.m., when she, for a reason still undetermined, was the victim of a bullet.

The ammunition crossed the cheek and the area behind the ear of the young woman. The victim was transported to the hospital of the Edith Cavell interregional hospital center (Chirec) in Braine-l’Alleud. His vital prognosis is not engaged.

The shooter fled on foot. An investigation is underway to try to identify and intercept the individual.





The investigation is ongoing regarding the shooting of a young woman in Waterloo. The victim’s condition is stable, but the shooter is still on the loose.
