Selected Pepper Savings following 3 challenges

Nia Reed (26, photo) from the United States was selected as the first pick in the professional volleyball V-League Women’s Foreign Draft following the third challenge. Reed was chosen by Pepper Savings Bank, where she won the 1st pick at a draft event held at the Rivera Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 28th. Foreign players connected non-face-to-face via video.

Reed, who applied for the draft for three consecutive years from 2020 and suffered from difficulties, received first place in the preliminary evaluation by four clubs. Reed, who is 189 cm tall, following playing in Turkey and France, played in the Brazilian league Sage Boleivauru last season and won the top scorer in the Brazilian Cup. Kim Hyung-sil, director of Pepper Savings Bank, said, “When I first saw the video, I thought, ‘Telepathy seems to work’. According to the agent, he has a good personality, good personality and has no pain anywhere. He decided he might handle both left and right.”

Elizabeth (23, Hungary), who played for Pepper Savings Bank last year, wore the uniform of KGC Ginseng Corporation, which got the second pick. Heungkuk Life Insurance nominated Yelena (25, Bosnia), who worked for the Ginseng Corporation last year as the 3rd choice. 6th place GS Caltex and 7th place Hyundai E&C renewed their contracts with Moma (29, Cameroon, 26, USA), who played last year, respectively.

Willo Johnson (24), daughter of MLB ‘300-win pitcher’ Randy Johnson (59), and Rebecca Lassem (25, USA) of Korean descent, who briefly played at IBK Industrial Bank last season, were canceled.
