With the definitive closure of the Maison Saint-Hervé, in Hennebont, the Moussaillons had lost their home port last June. They have just moored, still a stone’s throw from Blavet, but in another sector. It is now at Vallon Boisé, in the Langroix district, that the vocal ensemble with a repertoire of sea shanties meets every Wednesday, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
About forty members
This equipment was made available by the municipality. “It fits perfectly. The room is spacious, with not too bad acoustics”, indicates, delighted, the president, Dominique Poulmarc’h. Les Moussaillons currently has regarding forty members, including the two musicians, Chantal Le Cam, on accordion, and André Hartereau, on guitar. “We have two new ones. Those who want to join us, especially men, are welcome”, specifies the volunteer choir director, Éliane Maudet, who does not fail to specify that the group offers polyphonies with “four voices, even five sometimes”.
