It was through a message published on Facebook that the managers of the “Le Parvis” brasserie announced its permanent closure. “It is with great sadness that we announce the upcoming closure of the Brasserie-Restaurant Le Parvis,” they announce.
Le Parvis has been a real little institution in central Uccle for around twenty years. “The company that has managed the restaurant for 20 years has been experiencing significant financial difficulties since the Covid crisis. We tried to survive 11 months of compulsory closure at the time of the crisis and despite the support of some of you through the take-away that we organized and despite inadequate aid from the State, we we are struggling to regain essential profitability,” explain the managers.
The establishment also points out the Uccle policy in terms of car parking and parking pricing, “which dissuades customers from doing and/or extending their shopping in Uccle”. All this added to the energy crisis, the indexation of salaries, the increase in the cost of living for everyone which has led to both greater costs for the restaurant and less income.
They continue: “It is heartbreaking for the entire team to see what was much more than a workplace close. As for you, dear customers, dear friends, it will certainly also be a shock for you, because Le Parvis was for many a second home, a haven, a refuge, a place of conviviality, a safe bet. »
The establishment, which will close permanently on October 8 at 6 p.m., hopes that others will take up the torch. “We have one week left to turn the page with all of you and with elegance. We are counting on you to come and enjoy your/our dear Parvis one last time!,” they conclude.
