A charming French bistro a stone’s throw from the Bouffes Parisiens theater, Minet Galant declaims its love for bistro cuisine.

To understand the bistro atmosphere and the origin of the restaurant Le Minet Galant, located a stone’s throw from the Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens, it’s a quick leap into the past and a thorough rereading of the work of Feydeau that must be carried out, or how we discover, in the play Flea in the earthat Raymonde suspects her husband of being unfaithful to her at the Hôtel du Minet-Galant.

With this in mind, we enter with delight into this restaurant, recently opened in the 2nd arrondissement in place of the late Le Petit Colbert. The man at the head of the place, Jérôme Jeusselinis hardly his first address and even comes from a family of bon vivants, his father having been, throughout his life, a delicatessen and delicatessen in the 7th arrondissement of the capital.

No wonder, therefore, that the address does honor to the home made and the French terroir, even in the preparations from the family heritage of choice dishes, terrines, pâté en croute and other foie gras; since yes, the idea here being to eat French, but with grace, please.

Because if there is a place to enjoy before or following a play, at dinner or at lunch, it is in this restaurant with 70 seats – without forgetting the 20 seats on the terrace – which also has a second floor can be privatized for special occasions, where the cozy atmosphere is awakened by the ambient hustle and bustle.

Nestled on a navy blue bench, facing the mirrors that line the walls, the traditional dishes which make the splendor of France: delectable foie gras according to the recipe of the boss’s father, thin tart with candied endives (18.50€), amazing blanquette of veal with chanterelles (30€), without forgetting the dad for dessert (€11), substantial.

Of course, we will not fail to water everything with a good bottle white or red, trusting in the privileged relationship that Jérôme Jeusselin and Adrien Briot, his partner, interact with carefully selected winegrowers.

Retro without being corny, tradi without being dusty, and above all sincerely bistro owner, the Gallant Twink makes us exclaim: “Eat, I want it!
