LDPR deputy announced a “new recruitment” into the army (VIDEO)

LDPR deputy Alexei Zhuravlev stated the need to rotate military personnel at the front in Ukraine. “The mobilized ones, of course, need replacements. The men deserved a rest with their sweat and blood, kneading the earth in the trenches for more than a year and a half,” the parliamentarian noted. In this regard, in his opinion, a “new recruitment” of military personnel into the ranks of the Armed Forces cannot be ruled out. Observers have suggested that this is a potential second wave of mobilization.

Zhuravlev’s colleague in the State Duma, member of the Defense Committee Viktor Sobolev, reacted to these statements. He told reporters that, in his opinion, there is no need for a new wave of mobilization now. “Now is the decisive moment at the front. Now take these people who have combat experience and replace them with untrained ones? What will this look like? – the publication quotes the parliamentarian as saying. – Most of the people who were called up for partial mobilization entered into a contract with the Ministry of Defense. Those who are well – three children, a disabled child, and so on – they have been demobilized a long time ago. What is the need now to mobilize, to stir up society, that’s all, for what?”

Sobolev also noted that there is no need for a new recruitment of military personnel because there are enough volunteers in Russian units. “We are now increasing the size of the army, calling on military personnel to volunteer for military contract service. Thus, we create new parts, connections and even associations. Therefore, there is no need for this from this side either,” the deputy concluded.

Earlier, Ukrainian media disseminated Zelensky’s statements that the Russian authorities were allegedly preparing to mobilize an additional 300 thousand troops by June 1. Putin has repeatedly stated before that there is no need for a new wave of mobilization in Russia. The head of state emphasized that “the flow of our men who are ready to defend the interests of the Motherland with arms in hand is not decreasing”: a large number of contract volunteers enroll in the army every month.
